Jamba Juice
One of the companies that I chose during the job fair was Jamba Juice. What Jamba Juice wants from its employees is a good enthusiastic employee. In order to meet the requirements to be considered for employment you must meet the following requirements.
• Must be 16 years of age
• Computer skills including some Microsoft software and register skills
• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs regularly throughout shifts
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
• Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
I meet all of the requirements for the application. The reason why is that I work as a vendor at Petco Park and these requirements for Jamba Juice are essentially the same as the requirements that I had to meet to work at Petco Park. Jamba juice also wants their employees to show some very good customer service. They want the employee to recommend a product to the consumer that will meet their needs and also to enhance their experience by engaging them and giving them samples. I think I meet these skills that are recommended because I like talking to and meeting new people. If you get accepted and work there you are responsible for keeping a clean are by washing blenders and keeping all of the supplies in stock at all times. The reason why I would like to work at Jamba Juice is that it sounds like a fun and fast moving work environment and what I like about it.

Compulsory Service
I don’t think that compulsory service should be forced upon people. They should be allowed to choose whether or not they want to serve their country. Part of why I believe this is because if you allow people to do something by their choice it is more likely that they will like doing whatever it is they want to do and the higher the chance that they will do that thing for longer. When u force someone to do something they get tired of it fast and are less willing to do it and to do it for longer. I am strongly against compulsory service and I believe that it is unfair for the government to force people to go into the military. How do you expect people to feel like they are part of a free country when they are not even allowed a choice on the matter of going to the military or the peace core, it is unconstitutional to force someone to do something they might not want to do. How can we call our self’s a free country when we don’t allow our citizens to make their own choices on whether or not they want to join the military or not. Although I am against many compulsory services, one compulsory service I am more than happy with is the community service we have to do in order to graduate high school. The reason why I agree with it is because I feel that it allows students to experience a new side of their community, it also depends on where the student chooses to complete their community service dough.

Problem Solver
I believe that throughout my high school career I have been a problem solver in many ways. One of these ways has been through my math class. In my math class, like in any math class I used math to solve well math problems and also to solve some problems in real life. One of these math problems was to solve the equation for a sinusoidal graph that showed when it was high tide or low tide on the beach. This problem was both relative to math and also relative to real life. Another example of me being a problem solver was in my TSS class where I ran into many problems that have to deal with first figuring out what is wrong then coming up with multiple solution and then applying each solution one by one from easiest to accomplish to harder to accomplish. The most common problem I have come across in this class is the networking problem where the computer cannot access the network. The main reason that I found caused this problem was that someone was naming the computers the wrong way. I also found some that had bad Ethernet ports and had to have one put in. I also found some computers that were not functioning well due to the fact that they were missing drivers and some had windows 7 or XP installed wrong. I solved the operating system by reloading the operating system the right way. I solved the driver issue by downloading them into a flash drive then installing them onto the computer that needed them. That is how I have been a problem solver throughout my high school career.

Effective Communicator
Throughout my high school career I have been an effective communicator. I have been using power points, posters and even websites to communicate subjects to my classmates. I have used power points to present everything from how to fix a computer to how to replace a wheel on a car. I have also used power point to present information on atoms in my Biotech class and sharks in my marine science class. I also believe that I have been an effective communicator because I am bilingual and whenever someone does not understand something in English I always try to explain it in Spanish and I almost always succeed. I am also an effective communicator because I use diagrams to show the specifics of something like a computer or car or building. In my web design class I was an effective communicator due to the fact that in one of the websites I was suppose to promote a product and I had to use a minimum of five pages on one of the pages that I made was my index that stated what the website was about, the second page talked about the product, the third page talked about the specs of the product, the fourth page showed pictures of the product, and the fifth and last page gave contact information in case anyone had any questions of if they wanted to buy the product. I believe that my web site was very clear and it gave the reader/visitor a very clear idea on what the product was used for and what were the features of the product. That is how I am an effective communicator.

If I had a family member or a friend that was 18 and he or she did not want to vote I would ask her or him to think about everything they hate about the government or like about the government. Then I would ask them if they would like to keep the things that they liked about the government and get rid of the things they did not like. I would tell them that by voting they are exercising their freedom to choose what they want and don’t want to be done. I would tell him/her that in order for us to continue having a democratic government we must vote and exercise our rights or else we will become nothing but a dictatorship. Another reason why I would tell him/her to vote would be that we must keep our democrats honest and we will do that by showing them that we care through our vote and we will also through this action make sure that we do not get “screwed” by a plan that was not well thought up. Voting can prevent democrats from thinking that they can take advantage of us and force their policy on us without our approval. The fact that they need our vote will make them provide us with information on what they plan to do and how they plan to do it. Also the fact that we vote shows that we are proud of being here in this free nation and that it is in fact a free nation. Voting is a right that we all have and we as citizen have the obligation to vote if we want a better nation cause if you do not vote you cant complain about anything.
